After Charlie's highly successful 2022 concert, he will be back in the House of Music Concert Hall, where he will be seen in a more intimate way than he is used to at other large venues. Charlie is, of course, the singer who really needs no introduction, having created a magnum opus spanning genres and eras over a career spanning more than five decades. In his second concert at the Hungarian House of Music, we can find ourselves at the centre of the show, enjoying his singing and his best songs up close and personal.

Charlie is one of the legendary figures in Hungarian pop and rock history, who was there to lay the foundations in the 1960s, and was a member of bands of rock historical importance, although not many recordings survive after either Decca or Olympia. Yet in this country they were among the first to use wind instruments in rock music, combining progressive elements with soul. But Charlie only really became known after he joined Generál and became one of the main bands of funk rock in Hungary, forming the Tátrai Band with his musician partner Tibor Tátrai in the late 1980s, and then reaching the top.

As well as being one of the most popular groups of the nineties, he also produced hits with his solo career from 1994. His individual style - in addition to his unmistakable tone - is characterised by a richly orchestrated, multifaceted blend of blues, jazz and soul, and his songs always reflect the situations he has lived through, and the personal nature of the lyrics is easy to identify with.

In 2020, Charlie released a new album, Beyond Everything, after a break of many years. His many classics are now back in the transparent Concert Hall of the House of Music.
