About the exhibition:

This is an exhibition about love, titled ‘Just a little love’. At first glance it may seem like the title declares the simplicity and ordinariness of love; that in simple terms, this is how we should relate to two or more people loving each other. After all, this is just a little love. Most of us have experienced love, or felt its absence. Immediately, however, our next thought is that love cannot be such a small thing. For there is no such thing as Little Love, there is only Big Love. And so, we have made a bed for the ambivalence surrounding this concept. Love can be beautiful and ugly, sensual and painful, light and contrite, clean and dirty. More of than not, this complex feeling or notion is a combination of some or all of the above; that thrusts us into this seemingly simple, easy and fragrant purple haze, which we leap into with a cry of ‘It’s just a little love!”

The exhibition was born from the openness and blindness that we initially experience and aims to represent all types of love, situations and states. We hope to stay within the spirit of lightness throughout the exhibition and we hope that many of you will entangle yourself in this state with us.

Location

Pikszis Culture Point

At Pikszis we collect, consume and display all kinds of art. We have created a multi-functional, cultural community space where everyone is welcome, regardless of their prior level or connection to the arts. Our aim is to make it easier for everyone to explore different art forms by bringing together visual arts, music and more in one institution. Pikszis currently consists of a gallery, a café, a record shop, a vintage store and rooms for different workshops and events. We also have an in-house art school, the Pikszis Analogue Circle, which takes a slightly different approach to teaching people how to create.
