Early memories of the Holocaust in the works of eyewitness artists - the trauma of the Holocaust

Is it possible to depict the Holocaust, to capture the trauma of persecution in the language of visual art? The guided tour will focus on the personal fates and life stories of the artists who witnessed the Holocaust, drawn in graphic albums and narrated in many languages and styles.

Curatorial guided tour by Zsófia Farkas, art historian.

Guided tours are available with the temporary exhibition ticket and the guided tour programme ticket (1500 HUF).

Hungarian National Gallery

The Hungarian National Gallery is the largest public collection documenting and presenting fine art in Hungary.
