The team of audio-gastronomic expedition members put hard bop and free jazz in their jars as a traveling companion, and fed their pre-dough with bitter, slow Hungarian, with a slow, slow turnaround since the fermentation started. And, of course, some hip-hop and funk were mixed in from the air. With the base already nicely pre-digested, they're re-baking classic recipes from John Coltrane to Elek Horváth to Hank Mobley to serve it all up as hot as possible.
Máté Pozsár and Attila Gyárfás are the acknowledged authorities on jazz, ubiquitous and inescapable figures of its freer side, and teachers at the Liszt Academy. Ábel Dénes, despite his young age, is still living his cross-genre life in a routine way, having achieved great success with the Nagy Emma Quintet and Söndörgő, among others.
At the end of the summer, the band recorded their first studio album, which will be released by BMC Records, and you can hear some of the material from this album at the concert.
