In the framework of the Fringe programme, launched in support of the Hungarian House of Music's mission, we have launched a call for applications in three categories - music schools, hobby musicians, emerging orchestras and street musicians - to perform at various venues of the House. The Up on Stage! series will bring together talented young musicians, emerging or aspiring musicians who play music as a hobby or as a part-time job. This time, the Várhegyutca Band and the m.a.d.a.m.band will perform in the Auditorium.

Schedule

The Várhegyutca is a 10-piece band that works with funky, reggae, Balkan, folk, sometimes rap and blues, playing unusual and well-known instruments. Besides their own songs, they sometimes also perform a more famous song in their own image.

The m.a.d.a.m.band is an amalgamation of three unique personalities and musical directions, yet resulting in a harmonious, unique sound. The girls' inspiration comes mainly from the world of classical music, jazz and folk songs. The band's speciality is that the roles they play are constantly changing, giving way to an endless play with timbres.
