GAB and Günsberger Ákos Trio
In the framework of the Fringe programme, launched in support of the Hungarian House of Music's mission, we have launched a call for applications in three categories - music schools, hobby musicians, emerging orchestras and street musicians - to perform at various venues of the House. The Up on Stage! series will bring together talented young musicians, emerging musicians and performers who play music as a hobby or as a part-time job.
This time, GAB and the Ákos Günsberger Trio will perform in the Auditorium.
Schedule
◖ GAB ◗
Gabi Lakatos, singer-songwriter GAB, graduated from the Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music in jazz singing. In her own songs she draws from the roots of jazz, but the result is a genre-blurring R'n'B sound. Her first album, Magnolia, debuted in April with producer Dan Pinto. In his lyrics, he explores social issues such as exclusion, the desire for acceptance and understanding, identity issues, and the social and existential angst experienced by Generation Z. The album features guest artists such as Glsch, Unique, don C and SilkSilver. The album was released in April with orchestral arrangements. The concert will also feature songs from the album, as well as covers going back to the 1930s, by female jazz artists who have been a big influence on the singer.

◖ Günsberger Ákos Trio ◗
Alien bluegrass, instrumental punk. The band was formed in December 2023 by Ákos Günsberger (guitar), with Bálint Szeifert 'Jason' (double bass) and Ábel Mihalik (drums). Their goal is to push the boundaries of instrumental and puritan guitar trio with the confidence of a 4-year-old kid in a BATMAN T-shirt.
