It is hard to believe the power of Mari, a former runaway from an institution, to attract men under her spell. Laci is a renowned pianist, who, after a run-in with Mari, helps her fulfil her singing ambitions, completely forgetting about her own career. What she doesn't count on is that Mari still has strong ties to her husband, János, the deaf-mute zoo keeper. And how to handle a love triangle in a reassuring way, unfortunately, there is no recipe...
János Xantus's first feature film is a true postmodern melodrama, the most popular cult piece of the new sensibility that emerged in the mid-1980s, with music by Trabant, the Balaton ensemble, Mihály Víg and Hobó.

Bem Cinema
In January 2016, the 108-year-old Bem Cinema will reopen its doors to the public, in a new way never seen before in Hungary: as a cinema of cult and classic films (no harm!), or as the educated French say (if you know your English): as a "repertory cinema".
