Emmeluth's Amoeba (DK/NO)

Signe Emmeluth's Amoeba quartet, formed with fellow Scandinavian musicians, brings curiosity, literal playing and the joy that comes from it to its peak. The name speaks for itself: their music is almost self-aware, moving and breathing, changing colour and shape at will. Flexible forms combining composition and improvisation, quick musical reflexes, sudden bursts of energy and instantaneous changes of direction also contribute to their appeal. The band has been touring relentlessly for four years, performing at the Saalfelden Jazz Festival, Artacts and Oslo Jazz.
