Schedule
In the band's repertoire, deep riffs and drifting polyrhythm go well together, sometimes with atmospheric parts, melody and energy, with a strong emphasis on groove. Calyces are already well known in the Greek live music scene, having opened for such renowned bands as Tesseract, Cult of Luna and toured with Need. Their debut album "Impulse to Soar" was mastered by Grammy award-winning sound engineer Alan Douches (Mastodon, Kvelertak, The Dillinger Escape Plan etc.) and features a guest appearance by Jørgen Munkeby (Shining) on a saxophone solo on the song "Unfair Labour".
Location
A38 Ship
Converted from a coal-mining ship, the A38 is easily Budapest's most unique concert venue. The belly of the ship has been home to a wide range of live and electronic music for almost 20 years, and when it's full you can feel the rhythmic movement of the partygoers making waves in the Danube. Foreign acts often refer to it afterwards as their favourite club.
