Schedule
In solo sets with electronics he's been using a modular synthesizer since 2017 as a main sound source. A major interest in synthesizer patches is often the opportunity to simultaneously control and play the sound, but at the same time to be surprised, leaving room for risk, experimenting with the help of feedback and internal routings. Sometimes adding field recordings and samples to the main sound source, Ilia explores new contexts in the concert space. Besides artificial spaces, he’s interested in paying attention to room acoustics. It gives a reason for reflection before and after the concert, and during music making this happens more likely on a subconscious level.
