The 85th Art Auction of BÁV ART will be held on May 20–21, 2025 at the MOM Cultural Center. Over the two days of the event, watches, jewelry, silverware, classic and contemporary paintings, furniture, and the fine arts legacy of actor Sándor Pécsi will go under the hammer. Featured items include a rare Rolex watch, a painting by Rippl-Rónai, and special works of applied art. The related exhibition can be visited between May 10–18 at the BÁV ART Gallery.

We invite you to an unparalleled journey through time at BÁV ART’s 85th Art Auction: into the world of history, art and luxury. Sándor Pécsi, the Kossuth Award-winning actor legend, not only created a lasting legacy in his theatrical career, but also created an exceptional legacy as an art collector. At the event, you will be the first to see the entire legacy of this iconic figure of Hungarian theater and film. The exhibition, which features more than 650 items, also features a wide selection of antique and modern art objects, watches and paintings. Featured pieces include a rare Rolex Cosmograph Daytona watch, Stephen Webster’s shape-shifting pufferfish necklace decorated with sapphires, and József Rippl-Rónai’s painting “The Garden of the Körtvélyes Castle”. On the second day of the auction, works by János Vaszary, Vilmos Aba-Novák and Hugó Scheiber will also go under the hammer.

The exhibition related to the auction will be held from May 10–18. can be viewed at the BÁV ART Auction House and Gallery (1052 Budapest, Bécsi utca 1.), and the auction will take place on May 20–21 in the Dome Hall of the MOM Cultural Center.
