Schedule

September 5 – Friday, 8:30 PM

Jaune Toujours (Belgium)

Accordion dub, drum & bRass, Belgian ska

You may have seen them at Sziget, at the Street Music Festival, or even a few years ago at Ördögkatlan.

Since the mid-’90s, this Brussels-based collective has been serving up an explosive cocktail of grooves, brass, and accordion, and they’ve already released seven studio albums.

Expect high-energy, roots-based, fast-paced music: catchy songs in various languages, a punk attitude, drum & bRass, accordion dub, and Belgian ska.

With Jaune Toujours, genre boundaries blur and the rules are rewritten.

Recommended for fans of: Mano Negra, Les Négresses Vertes, Soul Coughing, Manu Chao, La Brass Banda

September 6 – Saturday, 8:30 PM

Eliasse (Comoros / France)

African roots & blues-folk

The word fusion takes on a new meaning when listening to Eliasse’s music: traditional melodies and rhythms are infused with futuristic influences, ignited by his guitar, voice, and percussion skills, creating a genre where folk, rock, and blues harmoniously unite with the ancient tunes, rhythms, and chants of the Comoros – and Africa in general.

From twarab to mgodro, from maloya to afrobeat, Eliasse takes us on an exploratory musical journey with his power trio, where every song reveals his artistic dedication.

The genre he calls “Zangoma” becomes an anthem to life, Comorian culture, and the irresistible spirit of the people.

Recommended for fans of: Tinariwen, Imarhan, Saul Williams, Bombino, Mdou Moctar
