Milkshake Man rocks the A38 Ship – Go-Jo in Hungary for the first time

Go-Jo initially became known for his energetic covers, gathering nearly 1.5 million followers on social media and becoming the 9th most streamed Australian artist worldwide in 2023. His hit song Mrs. Hollywood has been viewed a billion times, and he will represent his country at Eurovision with his crazy song Milkshake Man. Go-Jo is a truly versatile phenomenon, who we will be able to hear for the first time in Budapest on September 19 at the A38 Ship.

The charismatic musician can play the guitar and ride a unicycle at the same time, and that's just one of his many talents. Go-Jo is the solo project of Marty Zambotto, an up-and-coming Australian pop star who grew up in a remote Australian village where there was often no running water or electricity. This is where his love of nature, creativity, and DIY approach come from: as a child, he danced and sang to his parents' records, and at the age of 13, he received his first guitar from his mother, who is also a musician. Initially, he wrote songs for others, but after finding his own voice, he started a solo project.

Schedule

What sets Go-Jo apart from other artists is his incredible ability to write, produce, record, mix, master, and perform as an artist, while also having an almost innate sense of how to connect with fans, entertain, and communicate with audiences both online and offline. Instead of sticking to tried-and-true methods, she likes to think outside the box, constantly looking for new ways to reach people with her catchy songs and captivating personality.

This is also evident on social media, where she has over 1.4 million followers on TikTok, YouTube, and Instagram. In 2023, Go-Jo was the 9th most streamed Australian artist in the world. Her hit song Mrs. Hollywood was streamed 60 million times and garnered over a billion views on various platforms, and her latest big hit was Milkshake Man, with which she will represent Australia at Eurovision.

Go-Jo has toured Australia, Europe, the United States, and Southeast Asia, and in the fall, Hungarian fans will finally get to see her on September 19 at the A38 Ship. Tickets for the concert will go on sale on April 25 at 10 a.m. at www.livenation.hu.

Location

A38 Ship

Converted from a coal-mining ship, the A38 is easily Budapest's most unique concert venue. The belly of the ship has been home to a wide range of live and electronic music for almost 20 years, and when it's full you can feel the rhythmic movement of the partygoers making waves in the Danube. Foreign acts often refer to it afterwards as their favourite club.
