Alue A/V

In this unique live AV performance, created for András Hargitai's (aka Banyek) 2024 dubtechno album Alue, analog architecture & urban photography, analog video synthesizers and optics are kneaded into a dreamlike mass in real time, remaining in close contact with the musical elements of Nordic-influenced dubtechno.

This acclaimed performance, which was premiered at the Vilnius Energy and Technology Museum in May this year, is being shown for the first time in Budapest, in the audiovisual realm of NoSpace.

Banyek's album Alue (the word means both area and musical register) released by Lithuanian Greyscale Records cast the exciting world of modernist buildings and urban areas of the Finnish city of Espoo into musical forms. The performance was made from exclusive on-site photos by Dóra Gulyás (Füge Produkció // Kilátó Állomás). The animations were created by Lilla Schubert (MKE Intermedia).

The Alue AV show is a great example on how the relationship between electronic music and architecture can be taken towards new directions.
