The first weekend of Advent sees not only the opening of the Christmas markets, but also the opening of contemporary art spaces in Budapest. After last year’s success, ART WEEKEND BUDAPEST (AWB), as the closing art festival of the year, among THE SPIDER art events, will be held again on 28-30 of November 2025. The 3rd edition of AWB is not only for art lovers, but for everyone – families, groups of friends and even corporate communities – who want a memorable, valuable, shared experience at the end of the year.

Schedule

During this 3-day event, contemporary galleries, studios, and alternative exhibition spaces that are part of AWB will be open to the public. Art lovers can visit on their own or as part of an organized art-walks. The iconic art-walks are going to be from Friday to Sunday, at different times and routes each day, and each one will last 1.5 – 2 hours. During the art-walks, visitors will get to visit three or four exhibition spaces that are close to each other. There will also be a variety of exciting programs, such as the Colourful Noise art show and art-educational programs that are suitable for all ages.

AWB’s programmes are the perfect way to escape the end-of-year rush and immerse yourself in the awe-inspiring art scene of Budapest!

All programmes are free but registration is required.

Central theme: „To see and to be seen”

Similar to previous years, the iconic art walks will run on several routes at different times each day. During the free walks, visitors can enjoy a short 15-20 minute guided tour of each exhibition space.
