From hockey to truly passionate songs – Jonathan Roy returns to Budapest
As a child, Canadian singer-songwriter Jonathan Roy seemed destined to follow in the footsteps of his famous hockey player father, but he realized that his true passion was music, so he hung up his skates and devoted all his energy to songwriting. And how right he was! Over the past few years, he has released four albums, and after a journey of self-discovery, he returned with a renewed, more polished, and more authentic sound on his latest album. Now we can get to know this side of him at Jonathan Roy's first concert in Budapest on May 31 at the A38 Ship

Converted from a coal-mining ship, the A38 is easily Budapest's most unique concert venue. The belly of the ship has been home to a wide range of live and electronic music for almost 20 years, and when it's full you can feel the rhythmic movement of the partygoers making waves in the Danube. Foreign acts often refer to it afterwards as their favourite club.
