Formed in the early 1980s around guitarist, singer, and bandleader Jenő Menyhárt, Európa Kiadó has never followed the path of a traditional band. Throughout its various eras and line-ups, the group has continuously redefined itself while preserving its unique sound and independent spirit.
Their albums capture the essence of entire decades, including Love ’82, Jó lesz ’84, Popzene, Szavazz rám, Itt kísértünk – Love ’92, Annak is kell, …Valahol lenni…, and Nincs kontroll.
Over the years, Európa Kiadó has managed to constantly evolve without ever becoming part of the mainstream. Its distinctive style, independence, and relevance have remained unwavering throughout its long history.
During its more than 30 years of existence, the band has featured numerous emblematic line-ups.
