Cats are solitary animals, but when a black cat's home is unexpectedly flooded and destroyed, it is forced to join forces with other animals in order to survive. The different species travel across the endless sea on a boat, and despite their initial differences, they must stick together because only by joining forces can they stay alive.
The Flood is the animated sensation of 2024. The animated film had its world premiere in the Un Certain Regard competition section of the Cannes International Film Festival, the world's most prestigious 'A' category film festival. Flood won four awards at the world's most prestigious animated film festival in Annecy (Jury Prize, Best Music, Audience Award, 2024 Gan Foundation Award for Distribution); it won the European Film Award for Best Animated Film; it won a Golden Globe Award in the animated film category; and was nominated in three categories for the Annie Award, considered the Oscar of animation.
