Adolf Fényes' paintings offer a glimpse into worlds where sunlight floods even the most modest interiors, market scenes are vividly alive, and everyday life is just as important as any historical tableau.

Schedule

The works of one of the most sensitive Hungarian painters of the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries bring us closer to quiet moments, and perhaps a little closer to ourselves. As we wander through the landscapes and intimate interiors of Adolf Fényes' paintings, we will also discuss how a peasant farmyard fits into the shadow of French Impressionism, what a veranda in Szolnok has to do with Paris, and what these more than 100-year-old genre paintings tell us about the simple joys and sorrows of the people of that time.

During the guided tour, we will explore the memorial exhibition Images of Silence. Adolf Fényes (1867-1945) and related works from the permanent exhibition.

The guided tour can be attended with a temporary exhibition ticket and a guided tour ticket (1500 HUF).

The MNG Permanent Pass is a great deal! Come more often, see more, and get to know the museum better!

Pass holders only need to purchase a supplementary ticket for the guided tour.
