“My favorite band. I’ve never heard singing like this before, never experienced a musical assault like this… I saw a photo of them and they just looked like rock and roll itself. Look at them – now that’s a band!”
– Henry Rollins
Directed by Ian White, MUTINY IN HEAVEN is the story of The Birthday Party's rise, peak, and inevitable collapse – a documentary about an exciting, epic struggle, artistic genius, and complete dysfunction.
Starting out in an Australian suburb, The Birthday Party grew to become one of the most influential bands of their time, earning a respect that remains unbroken to this day.
Nick Cave's searing vocals and Rowland S. Howard's groundbreaking musical sound shocked audiences around the world. By the time their inevitable breakup occurred, they were already being referred to as the most dangerous band in the world.
Exclusively at Bem Mozi in Hungary.

In January 2016, the 108-year-old Bem Cinema will reopen its doors to the public, in a new way never seen before in Hungary: as a cinema of cult and classic films (no harm!), or as the educated French say (if you know your English): as a "repertory cinema".
