“Every psychotherapist is a patient, but not every patient is a psychotherapist. I have been a psychotherapist for 54 years because I am the craziest one. I need human company and I am good at nothing else. I am the patient. I am the super-patient. Only a madman would spend his whole day listening to others.”

According to him, what distinguishes the therapist from the patient is that the therapist spends more time in therapy than his patients. Nothing else.

"There is no them, there is no us—we all need mercy, not a cure. Those who do not understand this are likely to cause harm."

The viewer gains insight into certain stages of Feldmár's remarkable career, such as how his relationship with R.D. Laing shaped him and how he became a radical psychotherapist who inspired many.

Location

Bem Cinema

In January 2016, the 108-year-old Bem Cinema will reopen its doors to the public, in a new way never seen before in Hungary: as a cinema of cult and classic films (no harm!), or as the educated French say (if you know your English): as a "repertory cinema".
