In Viktória Maróti's works, the duality of softness and strength is in tension with each other: the materiality of the objects carries contradictions and invites the viewer's perception to play. She creates her works from a symbiosis of ceramics and textiles, achieving a hybrid effect that blurs the boundaries between the media. During high-temperature firing, the former unity of the materials is transformed: the textile burns out, while the porcelain preserves its memory as a fossilized imprint. This experimental attitude, which began in 2015 at the Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design, has now matured into a sovereign visual language.

The exhibition Matter in Motion presents the artist's porcelain sculptures and murals from recent years to the public. The central element of the selected series is movement, which, in the artist's interpretation, can be likened to metamorphosis, the passage of time, and the apparent contraction and expansion of textile fibers—embodying the fundamental moments of existence.
