**My Love, Budapest: A Selection of Short Films by György Kovásznai (Bubble Bath)

2026-02-19T17:30:00.000Z

György Kovásznai (1934–1983), the creator of the cult animated feature *Habfürdő* (*Bubble Bath*), was one of the most versatile and avant-garde figures of 20th-century Hungarian fine art and filmmaking. As a painter, writer, and animation director, he left a lasting mark across multiple artistic fields.

On this occasion, we present a selection of his short films under the title **My Love, Budapest**, as Budapest—the city the artist loved so deeply—is a recurring theme throughout his oeuvre.

Location

Bem Cinema

In January 2016, the 108-year-old Bem Cinema will reopen its doors to the public, in a new way never seen before in Hungary: as a cinema of cult and classic films (no harm!), or as the educated French say (if you know your English): as a "repertory cinema".
