Schedule

We look forward to seeing you at our Monday night Bachata practice session!

The foundation of solid skill is plenty of practice. In a partner dance like Bachata, you need a dance partner with whom you can practice the steps you’ve learned. That’s why a practice night like this is a great opportunity before you head out to the big parties. You can come alone or bring your favorite dance partner.

What’s the difference between big parties and practice nights? Here, there are no expectations—just practice, while we create a party atmosphere just like at a real party. And you don’t have to worry if you mess something up, because everyone here knows you’re here to practice, which is an essential part of your progress!

Location

Four Steps

At the FourSteps dance school, we teach the Madrid Style Bachata. This is a modern European bachata style that combines elements of urban bachata, sensual bachata, zouk, and hip-hop. The style focuses on musicality, dynamics, and a delicate balance in the partnership. Its uniqueness lies in the alternation of softness and energy: sensual movements, micro-musicality, and rhythmic play are expressed within a clean, elegant movement style. The connection between partners is soft and flexible, with an almost airy framework that allows for subtle communication between the dancers. Both the Man Style and the Lady Style are emphasized in this style, so the quality of male and female movement appears in balance. We teach all of this based on the technical foundations of the FourSteps Method, which is a complex bachata method for a deeper understanding of the principles behind the movements—leading, following, music, and movement.
