Climbing Meetup and Film Club Vol. 02
2026-03-31T16:00:00.000Z
Sports-themed brainstorming and climbing film club at Manyi!
Given last year’s huge success, we thought it would be worth it again this year for lovers of the vertical world to gather so we can pay tribute to our favorite sport with a little conversation and some movie magic. At this year’s climbing club, we’ll be examining the opinions of true heavyweights with exciting questions such as:
-Why do we hit plateaus in climbing?
-Is slab climbing more injury-prone than overhangs?
- Is the Alex Honnold phenomenon helpful or harmful?
- Protein or carbs? Do we need collagen?
We’ll be joined by the following experts:
- Nóri Bognár, physiotherapist for the Hungarian national team
- Péter Beliczky, national team coach – (formerly head coach of the Hungarian national team)
- Ambrus Nagy, age-group champion, Hungarian Cup winner
- And a surprise guest who will reveal themselves on-site!
The discussion will be moderated by Bálint Izer, and there will be plenty of questions. One thing’s for sure: we won’t be sitting in silence! We’ll be discussing training theory, sports nutrition, peak performance timing, techniques, trade secrets, and everything from the Olympics to free soloing.
Speaking of free soloing: We’ll be screening the movie *Free Solo* at the event.
