On the morning of April 11, projectionist Dezső Rácsik will guide us through the projection room at the Bem Cinema. This isn’t just a regular tour: here, technology and history come to life.
What to expect:
Hands-on adventure: You can try your hand at loading film.
Technical glossary: You’ll learn what the mysterious term “pendlizés” means.
Light and sound: You’ll experience the blinding power of xenon lamps and discover the secrets of IMAX sound systems.
Underground tour: We’ll take an adventurous path down to the cinema’s basement, to the monumental ventilation machine room.
