Los Orangutanes

Anyone who has ever been to a Los Orangutanes concert knows that you can't sit down and watch the band, your feet will automatically start dancing.

Los Orangutanes have been making Hungarian cumbia fans dance since 2017. Despite the fact that cumbia is the most popular style in South America, this genre has received undeservedly little attention in this country. Los Orangutanes, a group of tried and tested veteran musicians, would like to change that. The group, made up of members of Irie Maffia, Zuboly, Paso, Besh o droM, Anselmo Crew, has become a favourite of Hungarians who love to dance, and has sold out concerts at Müpa, Akvárium Nagyhall and Kobuci gardens, as well as countless Hungarian festivals.

Schedule

Lo Mejor De La Cumbia is a tribute to the greatest pioneers of the genre. In total, it is a mix of 12 classic cumbia songs, offering an insight into the broad spectrum of cumbia. Alongside Latin percussion and many wind instruments, the genre's most distinctive instrument, the accordion, also features prominently. And the songs are made truly unique by the performances of Ivan Tabeira and Szabi Árkosi.

Lo Mejor De La Cumbia is an audiovisual album, and each song is accompanied by an animated short film that gives an insight into the somewhat fairytale-like, psychedelic world of both the band and the cumbia.
