Martinkó Márk

The artist works primarily with conceptual photography, videography, and mixed media installations. The practice is built around core concepts that reflect on the nature of human thinking and its impact on the environment.

Most projects are inspired by artificial spaces—both real and virtual—and are influenced by science fiction culture. The artist is also engaged in research on transmediality, data visualization, and the exploration of new technologies.

The practice began with experimental and staged photography, but through exploring the boundaries of the medium, the artist soon recognized broader possibilities by incorporating additional technical devices.

Projects are typically developed in multiple layers, aiming to function as conceptual and analytical reflections on both the chosen themes and the mediums themselves, while remaining accessible and engaging to audiences beyond the art scene.
