Road
The Hungarian rock band Road was formed in 1999 in the village of Domoszló, Heves county. Its members are. Their last drummer - Erik Szabó - left in March 2021. The drum kit was taken over by Tamás Tóth.The band's style is described as "Rock n' Road", which means distorted guitar sounds and strong rhythms typical for heavy metal. The band is also open to other musical avenues: some of their songs feature folk motifs, they have an acoustic repertoire and have performed with a brass band. Their lyrics are about love, passion, petrol fumes and rock n' roll, with a positive and straightforward approach. The Road is one of the most active groups in the Hungarian rock scene, and is very successful in terms of record sales and concert attendance. The band has so far released seven studio albums, two best of albums, one concert CD, two dvd's and one book, and has been awarded three gold and two platinum records. Its members still live in the Mátra valley, but they tour the country and the Hungarian border regions throughout the year.
