Csongrádi Körös-torok

"...nowhere is there such a beautiful bank of the Tisza" as the sandbank opposite the mouth of the Körös in Csongrád, which stretches some 700 metres long and 30 metres wide from the eastern end of the town to the town square.

It is a popular social scene during the summer months. It's no wonder, with water temperatures of 25-27ºC and the warming sand creating the illusion of a beach. By the afternoon, the beach is full of families swimming, sunbathing, small children swimming in the shallows, young people playing volleyball and football.
