SUSANNE LUNDENG TRIO (NO)

One of Norway's most acclaimed folk musicians, Susanne Lundeng's musical background is rooted in the folk music of northern Norway, from which she has developed a sound that has attracted international attention as a violinist, composer, singer and musical freethinker. In his trio, he embarks on a musical voyage of discovery based on improvisational dialogue with two jazz musicians, Nils-Olav Johansen and Per Oddvar Johansen. In his sensual lyrics and picturesque melodies, Lundeng captures the larger and smaller dramas of life and their impact on man and landscape. His music is melancholic, restrained and gentle, but not without its storms. He has released 13 albums in his career and has previously won the Norwegian equivalent of the Grammy Award, Spellemannsprist, for his recordings of folk melodies from the Nordland region.
