Black Pyramid is a stoner metal band from Northampton, Massachusetts. Describing themselves as "psychedelic war metal", the power trio combines elements of doom and classic heavy metal to create a heavy sound and lyrics that evoke a blend of apocalyptic images of war, the occult, religion and alienation. The band's debut EP received considerable attention in stoner/doom circles, and they were quickly signed to MeteorCity Records soon after. Black Pyramid, who have released three albums to date, have toured across the US and Europe.
