Polish alternative-folk metal band Ariadne's Thread will be coming to Hungary for the first time as part of the Far From Home Tour 2024. They will be joined on stage by three other local bands.

Ariadne's Thread:

Alternative folk metal.

After a successful 2023 and a great reception on the Hammer of Witches '23 tour, a performance at CastleParty and a first place at SkalaRock Festival, Ariadne's Thread will be back on tour in 2024. They bring fresh, heavy material, combining melodic death metal, symphonic metal, pseudo black metal and djent, while sticking to their folk/folk metal roots. They present a brand new set, while also showcasing some of their more familiar songs.

Meteora:

Symphonic/power metal.

The band started in 2010, playing covers of symphonic and gothic metal songs in Budapest clubs. The current line-up has been together since their debut album 'Our Paradise' in 2017. In 2019 the band signed to Hungarian label Nail Records (later renamed H-Music) and in March 2020 they released their second CD with the same month's issue of Hammerworld magazine. Unable to play live due to the global epidemic of COVID-19, the band spent the time composing songs for their third album, '...of Shades and Colours', which was released on 6 September 2022. Notable collaborations include the re-recording of 'Our Paradise' in 2021 with Jonathan Pellet (Rage of Light, ex-Dysrider) on vocals, and 'Danse Macabre' in 2022 with Chris Harms (Lord of the Lost).

Mervom:

Power metal.

In 2021, Mervom took their current form as a power metal band with symphonic elements. In 2019, they were still known as Avoidance, a melodic death metal band. After the release of their first album, founding member Bence Báthori-Kovács reformed the band, adding a female vocalist to the line-up and bringing a change of style. Their new album "Nuclear Creation" will be available this spring.

Eravistae:

Eluveitie cover band.

As the Hungarian ambassadors of Eluveitie, they have been performing classic or unconventional songs from the Swiss Celtic metal greats since 2016. If you like albums like Spirit, Slania and Everything Remains, you can count on them, because they also play live songs that the parent band doesn't even put on the setlist anymore.
