Integrated anatomy and outdoor dance.
4-day intensive body awareness and free dance course
Course time:
08/07/2024 - 11/07/2024, 20:00-21:45 (Monday-Thursday)
Class description:
To get closer to a better and more accurate knowledge and understanding of their own bodies, we first need to become aware of the anatomical and biomechanical features of the human body, all through the tools of free dance.
In integrated-anatomy sessions, we can explore our psychological and somatic functioning objectively, without labels or comparisons. We can turn to ourselves with much acceptance and understanding.
Even just observing how we stand can be very informative, as there are many benefits to be gained from the dynamic development of posture. An energised body gives confidence, increased coordination and observation skills help us to develop more effectively in dance, but there are also positive effects in everyday life.
We think we are tenants, but we could be living in our bodies.
The central theme of my course is body awareness: i.e. the ability to identify our bodily stimuli and to develop our proprioception skills.
Each session of the course will allow us to experience something different about ourselves, as each session will start from a different perspective.

About my classes:
The atmosphere of the class is characterized by a cheerful directness. You can join anytime and it's open to everyone. My classes are for amateurs and non-dancers who want to move, who are interested in simplicity, normality, who like to believe in themselves, who have compassion for themselves and for others.
About me:
My name is Zoltán Grecsó. I'm a dance artist and dance teacher, but I've also been a presenter, choreographer, actor, coach, lighting technician, project manager, etc. I'm a dance artist and dance teacher.
I graduated from the academy in Linz and before that I was a drama teacher in Szentes.
I have danced in many productions at home and abroad, and once even performed at the Joyce Theater in New York.
I taught at the University of Drama and Dance for 10 and 8 years respectively. Currently, besides teaching, I am also passionate about my collective, the Willany Leó Improvisational Dance Theatre.
I am currently dancing in two productions, one is a co-production with Beatrix Simkó, #Orfeusz #Eurüdiké, which has been running for 7 years, and the other is a long-standing collaboration with my brother (writer and poet Krisztián Grecsó) in the production More About Us.
Jurányi House
The Jurányi Production Community Incubator House has become a key venue in the capital's cultural life, a vibrant hub of the contemporary art scene. Our aim in creating the Jurányi was to find a stable, shared home for the independent theatre and creative arts sector, providing the infrastructure necessary for its day-to-day operations. We wanted to create a cultural centre in the Buda area, a "contemporary art house" where theatre-loving young people could spend a few hours over a coffee or even a theatre performance, a creative children's activity or an acrobatic movement class, thus re-filling the abandoned educational institution with an active community life. Jurányi is more than just a theatre in Buda, it is a creative and creative base where visitors can enjoy a varied artistic, community, and educational program, in addition to a regular repertoire of 300 productions a year. We are proud that the Jurányi House is now a graduation subject in some art schools.
