Twenty years ago, the A38 Ship anchored in the main square of Budapest's cultural life. We celebrate 20 years with 20 nights. Concerts, parties and YOU! All those who have made the last twenty years possible. Celebrate with us in April and May at A38's birthday events.

Anima Sound System, 30 years old this year, is holding a sensational, guest-waited, Aquanistan album-inducing anniversary celebration on board. It's one thing that Zsolt Prieger, the band's leader, inaugurated the ship 20 years ago to the day, but what 30 years he and his band have behind them would require a separate encyclopaedia. But more than any encyclopaedia, there are many great songs and a legendary album that is also 20 years old this year. It's called Aquanistan, and several of its songs will be played on this evening, especially after many years of absence. In addition, they will be joined by names like Nové Soma, Frenk, Mitsoura and many others, but for example, Zoltán Rozmán will be back on drums this evening, and there will be other surprises, guess what and who.
We can tell you that 68 and Romano Funk, Take Me Away and Make a Baby, Müezzin and Put the Sunshine in My Mouth are coming. There won't be a reissue concert, but the atmosphere will be about the same as the sold-out Anima reissues: nostalgia and brand new songs, songs from 30 years and at least three Prieger, surprises, guests and making kids: it will be an unmissable night at this year's first Anima concert.
A38 Ship
Converted from a coal-mining ship, the A38 is easily Budapest's most unique concert venue. The belly of the ship has been home to a wide range of live and electronic music for almost 20 years, and when it's full you can feel the rhythmic movement of the partygoers making waves in the Danube. Foreign acts often refer to it afterwards as their favourite club.
