The band, who are about to release a new EP, will be accompanied by their friends Havária, Wishes and VLKN on 28 September at the Dürer Kert. Schedule

The title of the release is a reference to the Arcadia trial, to whether the concept of home is a utopia to be created or a community based on barbaric rules, and to what our own responsibility lies between the two extremes. The community-funded single was recorded with Mátyás Botlik at the end of May, mixed by Andreas Magnusson (Twelve Tribes, Despised Icon) and mastered by Alan Douches (Converge, The Dillinger Escape Plan), as on the last album. A new song will definitely be presented at the September concert. Havária are also preparing for their only show this year: the blackened punk/metal duo last made themselves known in the very beginning of 2023 under the title Repentance, and in addition to three original songs, they have also included a Dawncore transcription on the album. The band, active since 2018, have been switching from release to release to a darker, more sinister tone, and will be sampling their entire oeuvre in the small hall of the Dürer. The band, who have been reinvigorated with singer Bence Varga (ex-Have No Clue), are constantly working on new songs, while they have a few festival and club gigs lined up for the summer. VLKN released a new album earlier this year on Earache digital: First Sparks of Eternal Decay features Scandinavian crust/d-beat traditions meets black metal distancing, with Gábor Tóth (Harmed) and Dávid Makó (The Devil's Trade) also making appearances. The band has already done a European tour for the album release earlier this year, and played before Ancst in Budapest, and the current Dürer Kertes show will be preceded by more European dates.

Location

Dürer Kert

Dürer Kert, which moved from the City Park to the vicinity of Kopaszi Dam, is one of the hangouts of Budapest's surviving peripheral subcultures, but it's also worth visiting if you just want a perfect garden spot. That is, starting in spring. Until then, let's keep rockin'! And after that, too.
