Emilia y Pablo
The House of Music has recently hosted a concert by one of the new voices of flamenco, Ángeles Toledano, and now the Concert Hall welcomes one of the truly special voices of flamenco, as the Madrid-based Chilean duo Emilia y Pablo perform a unique Chilean-Flemish fusion.
The fusion of traditional Chilean, South American soundscapes and flamenco came about after the two artists, singer Emilia Lazo and guitarist-singer Pablo Cáceres, moved to Madrid. After their debut album in 2021, the second album (Isla Virtuosa) has just arrived, and a live performance of this album will immerse you in this fresh and captivating world.

Schedule
With a unique blend of Latin American folklore (tango, rumba, joropo) and flamenco, the duo strives to preserve tradition as a universal language that allows us to immerse ourselves in different influences and cultures. Emilia y Pablo were already a very popular up-and-comer on the Madrid music scene in 2019, and after the warm reception of their first album Territorio de Delirio in 2021, they released their second work Isla Virtuosa in 2024, produced with the help of Spanish experimental folktronica duo Maestro Espada. The new album forms an artistic bridge between the duo's identity and new sounds, nuances and musical colours - including the Andean psychedelia of the seventies, ambient, a cappella singing or even the intimacy and depth of Arabic music. All this only confirms Emilia y Pablo's position as one of the most interesting and representative projects of new folklore in Spain and Latin America.
