F.O. System became a band with a significant impact on the domestic alternative music scene even after being mostly silent for 20 years. The band was founded in 1986 by guitarist and vocalist Attila Mátyás and bassist Csaba Jerabek. The band was considered the first domestic representative of the dark-wave genre, with their powerful, somewhat dark, psychedelic music and visionary lyrics reflecting the mood of the pre-regime change era. The group quickly outgrew the initial venue, Fekete Lyuk, and performed in increasingly larger venues both domestically and abroad, including concerts with New Model Army and Christian Death. However, in 1991, F.O. System bid farewell to their fans, who have not forgotten the band since then. At their fans' request, the band reunited for a concert at Petőfi Csarnok in 2006, and since then, the group has been delighting audiences with an F.O. System appearance each year. Last year, after 33 years, they also released a new song titled "Mire vársz?" (What Are You Waiting For?), so alongside the cult classics, fans could now sing this as well.

Location

Dürer Kert

Dürer Kert, which moved from the City Park to the vicinity of Kopaszi Dam, is one of the hangouts of Budapest's surviving peripheral subcultures, but it's also worth visiting if you just want a perfect garden spot. That is, starting in spring. Until then, let's keep rockin'! And after that, too.
