Horgas Eszter – Falusi Mariann: Horgas 30

Eszter Horgas has been on the stage for almost 30 years; she will celebrate the anniversary with an exciting and truly magical gala concert at the Városmajori Open-Air Stage.

The virtuoso flutist's unique instrumental performance and her unique, genre-bending arrangements are well known to audiences. In addition to classical music concerts, he has created a new repertoire, using the language of classical music, jazz and Latin trends. He is convinced that the only way to elevate the flute to the status of a solo instrument is to create new literature.

Eszter Horgas is constantly on tour with the ClassJazz Band, a group she founded in 2000, giving around 100 concerts a year in Hungary and abroad, from Rome to Ljubljana, from Mexico to Mauritius, with world stars.

The artist grew up in Városmajor and is a regular on the stage. Here he has performed Vivaldi's Four Seasons, the Blue Rhapsody by Gershwin and Bernstein, an all-arts production based on the work of Chagall, and last year's production of the passionate story of Elton John and his 11 fellow daredevils.

The anniversary prompted him to look back over the past 30 years of his career and to present a gala concert of a compilation of his highly successful earlier works, celebrating with the audience on the steps of the City Hall.

The evening will feature the artist's regular guest Mariann Falusi** and her regular band, the ClassJazz Band.

The concert will last 90 minutes without intermission.
