The band, formed around German guitarist, composer and master of ceremonies Christian Kühn, has been working since 2012 on a unique form of jazz rock (or rock jazz) that balances parody with the utmost seriousness, and is a blinder to all kinds of musical blinkers. Their music, however, is as intense as its unrelenting banter: the multicultural ensemble plays the tunes they play with explosive energy and elegance. In 2023, they were nominated for the German Jazz Award for Best Composition and in the same year they released their sixth studio album, Katastrofik Kink Machine.
