Schedule

The Juli Fábián Memorial Foundation is launching a special initiative: the personal belongings of famous Hungarian and foreign musicians and artists, as well as objects signed by them, will be put up for auction. The auction will take place on two platforms: an online platform and an event on 18 October at the Hungarian House of Music. The proceeds of the auction will be put up for bid by the Foundation, which will provide financial support to musicians and performing arts support workers in difficult situations, such as illness or incapacity. Through this pioneering initiative, the Foundation is targeting the music-loving public, raising awareness of the difficulties faced by musicians in need who have fallen on hard times.

Several of Juli Fábián's personal items - her performance clothes, ear monitors - will be auctioned off, but also Rick Astley's personal items, Christmas James' guitar, Edda relics with "boots", and a guitar that has been featured on several Random Trip with Juli Fábián, among others. The Foundation has had this guitar specially autographed for the June auction by several world stars, including Jared Leto from Thirty Seconds To Mars, Rag'n'Bone Man, Paul Kalkbrenner and Sum 41.

Paloznak Jazz Picnic is the organiser and communication partner of the auction. Juli Fábián's role has been important in the life of the picnic from the very beginning, and her personality and energy have been and will remain part of the festival. Every year, her muse is commemorated in some way, this year through an auction in support of the musicians. The mission of the Fábián Juli Memorial Foundation is to support musicians, music performers, educators, composers and other professionals involved in music production who are in need, in the field of popular music and jazz, in emergency, crisis or some kind of temporary situation, for health and/or social reasons, and to support artists who are permanently or temporarily prevented from practising their art or work due to their social and/or health situation, disability or age-related problems.
