Dear Students!
The ELTE Faculty of Arts is once again organizing its Film Club in cooperation with Bem Cinema.
With the autumn chill suddenly replacing the summer heat and Halloween approaching, what better topic than classic horror movies. Each month, an iconic 20th century horror film will be screened, which have had a major influence on later films. Each film focuses on a specific part of the human body.
In September, the first film in the theme is "Dracula", released in 1931, in which the iconic monster was brought to life by the talent and presence of Bela Lugosi, once considered a great actor
In October, we can follow the disintegration of the mind and human duality in "Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde", released in 1941
In November, we continue to explore the human mind, this time with the multiple murders committed by hypnosis in the 1920 silent expressionist film "The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari
Finally, in December, before the lakes and waters freeze over, we'll give it a quick lung test with 1954's The creature from the Black Lagoon, where we never know exactly what kind of creatures really live at the dark bottom of the water
This year, it will also be possible to buy a RENT, which can be purchased at the Student Union Office (during office hours) or on site. The price of the season ticket is 2500 HUF, while the price of the day ticket is 1000 HUF

Bem Cinema
In January 2016, the 108-year-old Bem Cinema will reopen its doors to the public, in a new way never seen before in Hungary: as a cinema of cult and classic films (no harm!), or as the educated French say (if you know your English): as a "repertory cinema".
