Schedule

On long autumn evenings, what better way to comfort yourself than with an excellent Budapest Bar concert. A timeless musical journey through time, with the best songs of the last 100 years, great arrangements and a little gypsy spice. Budapest Bar never disappoints. Always good and always different - every Budapest Bar concert is a cavalcade of styles, songs, eras, sounds and personalities. Thanks to great musicians and outstanding singer-performers, you can expect an unforgettable and exhilarating concert on 14 November on the A38. The wonderful Budapest Bár band will be joined this time by Dori Behumi, Bora Ferenczi, Jucci Németh, Frenk, András Lovasi and Krisztián Szűcs.

Budapest Bár has become one of Hungary's most popular bands with its heartbreaking and heartwarming gypsy music covers. The band owes its magical appeal to its excellent musicians and cult singers of Hungarian rock music. Budapest Bár, originally a single album, has twelve singers and a completely unique line-up - perhaps that is why it has become the most sought-after concert band, a regular at festivals and on big stages. Budapest Bar's trademark unique style has its roots in the cafés of 1920s and 1930s Budapest. Familiar and popular songs are reinterpreted with a gypsy music foundation, combining jazz, pop, rock, klezmer and a variety of musical genres - creating the basis for a new musical movement.

The original intention of the leader and founder of Budapest Bar, Róbert Farkas, was precisely to give a new impetus to the genre of café gypsy music, keeping alive and renewing old traditions. Thanks to the orchestra, long-forgotten tunes have become part of the public consciousness and the culture of young people. Many old songs have been dusted off, forgotten ones revived, well-known ones given a new look, and recently many new songs have been written. Ages, cultures, styles and age groups come together in this production - perhaps that's why young and old alike love the group, which has become a multi-generational favourite.

The Budapest Bar is a music that cycles between styles and breaks away from the everyday.

Music of joy for open ears!

The band members are Róbert Farkas (violin, guitar), Sándor Ürmös (cimbalom), Károly Ökrös (accordion), Richárd Farkas (double bass), Bence Kisvári (drums).

Location

A38 Ship

Converted from a coal-mining ship, the A38 is easily Budapest's most unique concert venue. The belly of the ship has been home to a wide range of live and electronic music for almost 20 years, and when it's full you can feel the rhythmic movement of the partygoers making waves in the Danube. Foreign acts often refer to it afterwards as their favourite club.
