DANCE LECTURES

19.30 - 20.10 BATARITA: MÉLYKÉK Dance Ritual

Dance is a sacred language of communication with the gods and the cosmos, an offering to bring spiritual connection to the community. This dance ritual is an offering to Enki, the lord of the freshwater ocean, the god of wisdom and the arts, and a member of the leading tribe of gods. After the deity is invoked, the symbols of Enki, the bird, the watercourse and the goat, are given their own special powers and come to life to envelop the space.

GALA - GERMAN CENTRE. For some, religion, for others art, for others the experience of human relationships is their own means of doing so. The Museum of Fine Arts' exhibition Mesopotamia is a great opportunity and a unique chance to filter through our contemporary humanity the wonderfully sophisticated and beautifully cruel worldview of a bygone age, and to confront the fallibility of man at the end of the journey.
