Schedule
In addition to the many improvisational concerts, we thought many people might be interested in the theoretical background of this elusive musical method and practice, the history of the genres based on it - what is it all about?
How can we even talk about it?
Perhaps not everyone knows, but one of our regular performers, Péter Ajtai, is a bassist, a bandleader and a teacher, and improvisation itself is a major theme in his teaching.
Based on the lessons and success of the monthly performance so far, we've taken the format a bit more informal and conversational - so we're defining it more as a seminar. And we will also explore the theory through listening to music, from a practical side, with concrete musical examples. The music will be played mostly from classic black vinyl.
There is no admission fee for the class, but donations are accepted. This is to support our performers and our programs!
A suggested donation is one or two thousand forints, but donate according to your means and enthusiasm. Thank you!
