GÖDÖR SKA FEST: The Three Teadies / Super Starsky / CsizmáSKAndúr

2024-11-29T19:00:00.000Z

On 29 November, the Gödör will once again be the venue for a big ska party! The Three Teadies, representing early reggae and rocksteady styles, will open the evening. They will be followed by Super Starsky, who will be spinning retro world hits in ska style. The third act of the evening will be the no-joke ska band CsizmáSKAndúr.

CsizmáSKAndúr

The band CsizmáSKAndúr was founded in 1998 with the express purpose of awakening the Hungarian ska music that had been peacefully dormant until then. In 1999, they recorded their first album "Bulizik a Ska maffia". After that, virtually unknown to the public, they were invited to the Sziget festival, where they played a very successful concert with a full tent. After that they went to many clubs and festivals all over the country and showed themselves in the surrounding countries. The band split up in 2004 due to the different ideas of the members, but fulfilling its mission, it established the Hungarian ska scene: Lipi continued in PASO, Marci and Ati formed the band Ska Hecc. After a four-year break, the members of Ska Hecc left the band and reunited CsizmáSKAndúr, and now they are back to show what they can do!

Super Starsky

Super Starsky was formed in 2011 from six bands with the aim of reinterpreting the greatest national and world hits in a ska style, mixing it with a Czechoslovakian feel, bringing back the world of dance dub festivals and estrad shows. Even György Korda will be dancing in angel skin where his gay voice is playing!

The Three Teadies

Representing early reggae and rocksteady styles, The Three Teadies formed in the summer of 2009. The founding members were motivated by the lack of a national representation of these styles. Their first demo, consisting of three songs, was released in the autumn of 2009, after which the band, which at the time was still mostly playing covers, started to play live shows.

In spring 2010, the band launched a reference album, Rocket In My Pocket, which was released in spring 2010, and started to play festivals and clubs in the neighbouring countries, including with the Dutch band Upsessions. In 2010, they won first place at the University Days of Pécs, and in the same year they took home the silver medal at the Reggae Contest 2010. In December 2013, they released the single "Margit", which was accompanied by a Judge Dread-inspired music video.
