The name of Daniel Erdmann's newest band is a reference to Germany and France: their relationship dynamics, which are periodically in crisis, could be described as the driving force of Europe.

Schedule

A self-employed therapist, Erdmann has been travelling between the two countries for more than 20 years, and his work has also focused on Franco-German collaborations, so he is well aware of the similarities, differences and potential misunderstandings. The sextet is backed up by two long-time bandmates, Théo Ceccaldi of Velvet Revolution and Vincent Courtois, with whom they have worked on numerous projects over the past decade and a half, including a trio with Robin Fincker - both of whom have appeared on Opus and have released several albums on BMC Records. Hélène Duret, who recently released her second album with her trio FUR on BMC Records, is a new addition to the trio, while the rhythm section is made up of Eva Klesse and Robert Lucaciu, two established figures on the German jazz scene. The secret of this German-French duo therapy is the joy that the greatest musicians of both countries share with each other and the audience when they play together. In the days before the concert, they will also record their debut album, which will be released by BMC Records.
