Csaba Ujvári returns to the stage after 30 years

A 20-year-old young acting student with world-changing plans, who has his whole LIFE ahead of him

Then, from one day to the next, everything changes, he gets confused, and then suddenly he has a "revelation": only love, only love is important! The only problem is that for 3 days, non-stop, barefoot on the boulevard, he proclaims it to everyone he meets.

His way leads straight to the closed ward.

Schedule

The real adventures begin here ... The "tuning for love" continues, the doses of drugs increase. The place, unimaginably scary to outsiders, becomes quite tame.

The story of the following days, weeks, months, years is told by the protagonist himself. There is everything: anxiety, depression, panic, sleep disturbance, and on the other side: recovery, overcoming prejudices, leaving the acting profession, building a new life, marriage (to a psychiatrist), raising children (with a wonderful girl).

"Bipolar" summons up all his courage to blow the dust off his nearly 30-year acting diploma and go back out in front of the public. This time he tells his own story, with sometimes bitter, sometimes sweet, sometimes bittersweet twists and turns, with lots of humour, sometimes everyday, sometimes very special experiences.

He does all this through his own subjective glasses, in a very human way.

Shocking, touching, captivating.

Location

Jurányi House

The Jurányi Production Community Incubator House has become a key venue in the capital's cultural life, a vibrant hub of the contemporary art scene.

Our aim in creating the Jurányi was to find a stable, shared home for the independent theatre and creative arts sector, providing the infrastructure necessary for its day-to-day operations. We wanted to create a cultural centre in the Buda area, a "contemporary art house" where theatre-loving young people could spend a few hours over a coffee or even a theatre performance, a creative children's activity or an acrobatic movement class, thus re-filling the abandoned educational institution with an active community life.

Jurányi is more than just a theatre in Buda, it is a creative and creative base where visitors can enjoy a varied artistic, community, and educational program, in addition to a regular repertoire of 300 productions a year. We are proud that the Jurányi House is now a graduation subject in some art schools.
