Torma Gábor "Frenk" is a Hungarian musician (drummer, singer, keyboard player, songwriter, lyricist).
He studied at the Conservatory and at the College of Music, but never finished either of them. He was expelled from the former and dropped out of the latter.
He has played in the bands Hypercarma, Quimby, Kispál and the Borz, Balaton, and since 2007 he has been singing in the Budapest Bar, and since 2005 he has also led his own band, with 4 albums to his name.
He is a member of several creative musical formations, including the Braindogs, a group formed in honour of the American actor/musician Tom Waits, with several other musicians (Tibor Kiss, Varga Livius (Quimby), Ian Siegal, Ripoff Raskolnikov, Varga Laca, Szabolcs Nagy).
Akvárium
As they describe themselves, it is Budapest's most frequented venue, which is also multifunctional. Akvárium is great for award ceremonies, afternoon coffees and, most importantly, concerts, thanks to the well-picked, cross-genre selection.
