Schedule
Péter Kiss's concert will bring together the contemporary and the 19th century. Schubert composed a series of eight impromptus in 1827, the year before his death, of which the second four works, Op. 142, will be performed in alternation with pieces by four contemporary Hungarian composers. The effect is not unidirectional: in addition to the contemporary pieces, Schubert's piano cycle is also placed in a different context.
